Welcome to Walk the Walk Ministries. Our goal is to teach believers how to follow Jesus.

Many people claim to believe in Jesus, few actually follow him. We believe that's because they haven’t been taught how. Often biblical truths don’t translate to our feel good culture. Here we will cover topics you've always wanted to know about, but may not understand.

Does God hear the prayer of sinners? What happens when I die? Am I saved by the Law or grace? Should I honor the Sabbath?

Why do 80-90 percent of the people who make decisions for Christ, eventually fall away?

We have a possible answer. Here's a story I heard years ago that illustrates the problem.

Two men are about to board an airplane. The pilot tells the first man, “Here’s a parachute. You should wear it. If you do you will be more comfortable then ever. You will get your peanuts faster. You will get a blanket, a pillow. You will have the best flight possible. Oh, yeah, it will save your life, too.” The pilot tells the second man, “Here is a parachute; you need to wear it. It will save your life.”

The two men board the plane. The first man quickly finds out that the parachute is not comfortable. He does not get his peanuts faster. He doesn’t get a blanket. Or a pillow. The other passengers point and laugh. Why would he believe it’s going to save him? He takes it off and says, “I tried the parachute thing; it didn't work for me.” The second man keeps the parachute on and every time there is turbulence he holds on tight and thanks God for that parachute.

In many churches today, the leaders and pastors only preach feel good messages of the bible. They don’t want to teach any hard truths and offend anyone. If they offend the congregation they may not get as much money in the collection plate. They are afraid parishioners would attend a different church where they can show up, tip God, and go home thinking they have just bought fire insurance.

God's love, mercy, and grace are all very real. He loves us so much he sent his only son Jesus Christ to pay for our sins. Our salvation is a free gift offered to everyone. We cannot earn salvation.

So what is salvation? How do we get it? Can we loose it? What does it mean to have a relationship with Jesus? What part do you play in that relationship? What does it mean to believe in Jesus?
